Tom Mirhady will be playing my cello at this CPO event:

I am curious how many players will notice that Tom has a
different instrument and I look forward to their feedback.
In other news, I have 2 violins that are ready for varnishing which will start as soon
as the weather improves. I've also started another cello.
I've promised first option on a vintage violin to a prominent player.
I acquired this factory made violin and recently reconditioned it.
The tone is very warm and the sound quality matches my very
best violins. There is no label and although the instrument has no cracks, the wood is
quite plain. Consequently, this instrument is priced lower than its tone would demand at
$2000.
Varnish making is happening in my backyard on May 12th.
I am using a recipe from the early 1500's.
Get ready for some stinky smoke!
